Wedding Gift

Post by SelfD »

Do Somali people even give gifts to newly wedded couples or is just take take with them?

I know those who have bridal showers end up getting lingerie and things but do guys give gifts to their buddy when he's getting married? If so what do u give?

Shaas saar ceremony is mainly for people with gifts for the bride. I am not sure about the groom getting gifts from his buddies but lately Somali ladies have started bringing gifts for the groom as well during the shaas saar.

Buy them a holiday if you have money!

Or give them pens and a voucher to engrave their names on.

If you do not have money, why should you marry?

There is nothing that beats pens; try that and you'd be talk of town.
