Somaliland is steep with rich folklore and unique ancient traditional culture...we need more videos like these ones.
2014 release: Horumar (Progress)
2012 - Galbis (escorting) for Khadra Mohamud Jama Haid during her visit to Hargeisa. Watch all the love for their kind.
2010 - Hargeisa song. Hargeisa previously called Harrar. The name Hargeisa has two meaning. Some say it's derived from the two Somali phrases; Harag (hide/animal skin) and gaysa (to take) and the reason for that is it's said Hargeisa was a small village known for its animal skin trade in the region (where hides were taken to). The second argument is that it was named after the cactus tree which is hargessa in Oromiffa.
Another version is that Hargessa is Cushitic and it means "gift" and is linked to gum frankincense (foxa ama luban). This theory comes from Ethiopian history (Oromo from Jimma).
