Growth of Qardho!!

Post by thegoodshepherd »

I was really surprised by this city!! I love its location Image
I was told it was a pit-stop on the main road in 1992, and now it is a real city Image

i don't think you can call that a city, not even a town but a village. a Laangaab village to be precise.

I will admit it has a water problem because it's water table is very low. But as you saw in the video they are digging new wells and already 40% of the population has running water.

I like how Puntland is trying to grow Qardho and Garowe into main cities.
if we are able in the next decade to push Garowe and Qardho into the largest 10 cities list, we will have succeeded.
Most other administrations focus on one city but Puntland is trying to grow into a four city administration.
I like the idea of Puntland having two major cities and two medium sized cities, it would be more balanced

Qardho is the seat of royalty in Somalia. For that reason it gets a
The town should not expand it should condense, the miyi can not be destroyed or intruded.
