I didn't know that Haji Cabdi Warabe AKA Pycelle (Game of Thrones) was a member of NUF. I am from a NUF family. My late Abe (AUN) run the NUF office in Aden. In early 1960 Michael Marino and Axmed Xasan (AUN) asked him to come to Hargeisa and manage the NUF election campaign. This was the campaign that NUF only won one seat out of 32. The only seat they won was Michael Marino in Ceel Afweyne. Axmed Xasan lost his seat in Hargeisa North (the biggest upset in the history of Somali elections).

The Uduruxmiin in Ceerigabo-Xiis played the religious card on Michael. Maxamed Dhoolayre (AUN) urged Michael Marino to run in Ceel Afweyne. Michael felt he had better chance in Ceel Afweyne than Xiis because he felt his Christianity was not going to be a liability in Ceel Afweyne.

If the NUF won the 1960 election we would have never united with the Waleweyn. Michael Mariano said the Walaweyn have no ethics or xishood.

Mohammed Cali Farax (AUN) who was Uduruxmiin won the Xiis seat. The district covered West Ceerigabo to Xiis.

West of Ceerigaabo is Yufle and it is dominated by Muuse Tuurwa. From my understanding villages like Gudmo Biyocas use/ come under Xiis.
