There is no hope for former Somali Republic union like Iraq

Observing the ongoing situation in Iraq for the past few weeks it is very in parallel with former Somali Republic.Iraq and former Somali Republic
are both artificial colonial creation of communities that hold strong enmity for each other, who share little in terms of culture, ethinicity and sects,
they were only binded together by dictators who were both overthrown. Kurds are already preparing a independence referendum in their autonomous
state, Sunnis are busy creating their own caliphate, Shias are in the wilderness. If Iraq can come in to terms that there will never be a viable united
Iraq state so can former Somali Republic.

Somalis dont have different sects, religions etnicities etc sxb. But, we face similar issues and i agree we should all move on. At least they can argue they are different lol

There is division, but the hostility is more reversible on the Somali side and generally nowhere near as bad.

Quark The Bantu community of south Somalia alone is 15% of the population of former Somali republic. Also the so called Shia & Sunni are both Arabs in
Iraq, so yh we do have similar issues.

I don't think so. Somalis inflicted higher casualities on each other than Iraqis 2003-2014 or even pre Sadam ouster, Somalis killed millions
from each other since 1991 and before.

^Its so annoying how people forget that. 15% might not sound a lot but take out the north and even the central and that figure turns into a bloody huge number.

Anyway the sad part is I think the Somali problem could have been preventable.

We could have even achieved the Somaliweyn dream if we just stuck to financing different Ethiopian rebels without the invasion. After the inevitable collapse of Mengistu's Gov which happened way too late for us, we easily would have taken over Somali Galbeed and secured it.

The dictatorship, the civil war, the domination of certain groups all could have been prevented.

Iraq's problems are more pronounced obviously. Iraq's difference were set in stone already while Somalia/Somali republic's population consists of a homogeneous population with a minority groups (over all).

Anyway there's no point now, we can't change the past. Iraq's eventual break up hopefully will make the international community understand that they should let people decide their own destiny for themselves. Hopefully also this will pave the way for other groups like Somalis to fully decide their own destiny, if they want to split or not etc

Hell no, more than 300,000 Kurds alone have died from 1960 until today. That's excluding shiah, christian Arab, Sunni deaths. Vast majority of Somalia's deaths came from the famine that occured in 1992 which took 300,000 lives. So i'd say Iraqi civil war deaths exceed Somalia's.

You keep lying to yourself over and over again. Its not like lying to yourself is new to you.

*somaliland is a region within somalia, that is as hungry underdeveloped and aid leaning region no different than puntland. The world knows it we know and you know it.

*The international community also knows that the main reason for somalilands quest for independence is to seek financial aid from the world bank and other branches of international funding agencies. With zero chances of being able to pay back the loan.

*There is absolutely nothing that somaliland can bring to the world and therefor makes the recognition of somaliland in the eyes of the west a non beneficial predicament.

You guys are becoming to predictable and your repetition of being an oasis in the middle of helfire is really becoming boring. But then again what would one expect from people led by faysal cali waraabe and edna.

You guys have no honour self respect and would most likely sell your nans to get your story heard. Everything your recognition is based on is a lie, one fat juicy lie.

1) ethnic cleansing based on tribalism during siyad barre's rule. A lie
2) your right as a nation based on the colonial borders. A lie
3) your different race claim. A lie
4) The whole oasis claim is the biggest marketing lie since the invention of adverts on tv. A lie.

Puntland alone blows all your claims out of the water.
The Sultanate in the north east outdates your colonial legacy. When Puntland was dealing with foreign nations as a kingdom you guys were running naked wild in the bushes being tamed by the british.

Siad barre did not attack SNM because of their tribal affiliation. He attacked SNM because of the very same reason he attacked SSDF who happen to hail from the same tribe as the man. They were both challenging his rule and therefor became a threat to his rule.

Your colonial borders dont make sense one bit, you say darood committed genocide in somaliland using Siad barre's reign yet here you are claiming the land and the people of darood as part of your independent seeking tribe. Dont make sense.

Your racial differences in comparison with the south is laughable at most and simply sad at the least.

Your oasis claim and governance has been put to bed by non other than puntland region.

Stop lying to yourself sit your ass down and shut up.

*Yawns* another wannabe Siadist history revisionist . Somaliland and Puntland destiny is not interwined.

Puntland annual revenue = $30 million

Somaliland annual revenue = Over $200 million

Nothing to compare here. So don't embrass the desert state.
