Somali cabinet has today approved the anti terror law that is meant to strengthen fight against terrorism in the country.
The law which was previously passed by the cabinet was rejected by the national assembly which requested be reviewed before the final approval for it be enacted as a law.
Speaking to the journalists after the meeting Government spokesman Ridwan Hajji has said the government will take tangible measures to improve security in the capital Mogadishu.
“We hope the recent reshuffle of the security docket will play critical role in improving security in the country,” He said.
The cabinet has also approved the appointments of the new Somali police commissioner and the director of national intelligence.
Meanwhile the cabinet has agreed in the same meeting to review and change the issuance of passport to Somali politicians and diplomats."

Earlier, amisom has blamed mogadishus insecurity problems on lack of cooperation among the locals!

they should be tortured like the way they tortuted millions of somalis. Death sentense is too easy. Id like to see them suffer a little more before they die.

Though I do not condone terrorism combating terrorist violence with draconian policy has historically exasperated the problem. It creates a sympathetic framework for the target group transforming them into rebels, even a symbol of freedom. In place of overt ruthless violence prominent Al Shabaab members should be captured and put to trial, while a covert military operation targets and swiftly seizes main bases. Captured members would be given the option to either abandon their cause and seek professional help, or to die for it.
Most members of terrorist groups are cajoled into joining. They are young and impressionable and the illusion of honor gives them a sense of purpose. Instead of killing the misguided why not help them? I truly believe the Somali government would benefit from investing in anti-terrorist rehabilitation centers.amin7x wrote:they should be tortured like the way they tortuted millions of somalis.
