It's their parents fault. When you are so strict as a parent you must understand the repercussion to come. Somali parents need to go to parenting school. They are only aware of the fact that it's their duty to rear them in Islam but the idiot parents dismiss a whole teaching of Islam relating to how to be merciful and fun with your children.

I agree, my parents were not strict in teaching me Islam, I never went to weekly dugsi/madarasa I was taught mostly by my father, myself and the books that I have, when children reach their teens their intellect develops where they begin to question many things among them the imparted knowledge that their parents gave them, it is at this stage they leave Islam because their
parents failed to explain the things they told them.
