If a non muslim fasts, does it count? Or is it just for the experience. We need to make salat, keep clean and good thoughts, and have our intentions to fast, otherwise it doesn't count.

Fasting in Canada is hard, the day is from 4 am until 10 pm, I'm not sure if I could manage it, I don't know how Muslims do it when Ramadan is in summer. I could give it a shot and tell you how I do

Give it a shot, but be sure to eat before sunrise. Ramadan is the tenth month of the lunar calendar, it comes about 10 days sooner each year.
