Ogaden, NFD AND Palestine

They are lands that are being occupied and ruled by foreign powers. Indigenous settlers of the land are slowly being assimilated with the rules of outsiders. The original inhabitants are being mixed. Not trying to dismiss the issues faced by Palestinians but this region has always been contested. It's always been Jews, Christians or Muslims fighting for the holy land ,Crusader times being a example. Obviously the killing of innocent people and oppression of the Palestinians is wrong. But what I've been trying to understand is why is Palestine so important to a lot of Somali's ? I've seen countless social media posts, pictures, banners and even people organising protests, charities etc. to help them. I know as a Muslim Ummah we have to help our Brothers and Sisters in times of need. But there is helping and there is just plain obsessing and pampering to a issue which has nothing to do with us. Who are we as Somali people to go into their conflict, as long as other Arabs don't bother why should we as Somali people do as well ?

The Israel and Palestine issue will exist for a long time, its just will go on and never end in my eyes. Their fight to get this land has lasted thousands of years, and they wont let silly little protests and social media activists stop them. A army of a nation of Arabs, couldn't stop them in the 60's, when the Palestine's had like 10% of land compared to what they have now just Gaza - the only slab of land standing, which they have little control over. The other nations of Levant Arabs have realised there was nothing they could do to stop the Jewish expansion, so why do Somali people still insist on us protesting something which we should class as a Arab border problem. We have the same with the Ogaden and NFD. The Arabs and Palestinians should try and find a settlement to this problem, because there is no way that the Jews in Israel will let them get back any significant portion of the land they had. Everyone should expect the fact this is Israeli land now, and focus on settling for what little they have now and can get back, and call it a day. It wont matter in the end who owns what, when Palestinians get evaporated out of existence.

The people in the NFD are happy been part of Kenya.

The people in Ogadenia,...well just watch their dhaanto to see how happy they are with ethio.

But even if those two weren't happy its not like somalia can do anything about it.

Beside Palestine is blessed, where somalia is cursed.
