I am sure it is a offspring of the word khalad which is arab originally and also somali mean incorrect. since when did south people change the sound

Why did they change the kha to qa, can't they say kha

also does it mean a region, clan or people

Anyone with that waqooyi or deep galbeed accent is called qaldaan. It's mostly used for the idoor tho cuz they got the hardest accent.

Samaroon and Cisse speak Af Galbeed a soft purer dialect of somali, better then Waaqoyi. I personally think it sounds better then waaqoyi.

Gabiley to Awdal to Djibouti, all the way across to Dire Dawa is Af Galbeed

It is a word used by people who can't speak proper Somali. Waa kuwa yidhaa gogol xaar instead of gogol xaadh.

Af Galbeed is not pure Somali. When I hear grown men speaking af galbeed I chuckle a bit because they sound like children. I mean how can you say wuu yimidey instead of wuu yimid and laagay instead of laaday and kooga instead of kooda. :pac:

I have a question:

Does the Somali media speak in one accent and write in one accent or is it all different?

I am,

Abdi "That word is offensive and should be banned" Johnson

lol It is the Af of Ahmed Gurey and the Af that united the somalis against the gaalo :stylin:
What's your af before you diss the noble Af Galbeed.

What's purer Somali then Galbeedi? Some of the oldest words in the Somali language is retained in Galbeedi. Mashallah

They also cannot even pronounce the kha sound when they try to label us as the 'incorrect ones' , nothing sweeter to the ears than the waqooyi accent.

Ahmad al-Ghazi didn't speak Somali and the language spoken in Adal was Arabic.

I speak standard Somali which is the language spoken in most of Somaliland and Hawd in Ethiopia.

They can't pronounce the letter B either. They say Qawiil instead of Qabiil and Lama instead of Laba.

The northern dialect is the one used by the media but you can probably guess where the news presenters are from by listening to their pronunciation.
