Curly hair problems

Post by SiennaEarth »

How do you girls deal with curly/wavy hair problems. Every time I straighten it and it's exposed to humidity it goes frizzy/wavy. Every time I leave it curly it goes dry after a few days and I'm really not the type to moisturise/oil my hair daily or at all. Hate the greasy hair feeling.

My hair is ridiculously curly and resembles a birds nest if I don't brush/moisturise,divide it to sections and plait it on a daily basis. (Hard work I know) anyway lately though I've been using Moroccan Argan oil/ shampoo and it has made a massive deference. My curls are now loose and easy to maintain.

Do they do organic sulphates free Morrocan Argan oil shampoo? My hair isn't that curly, it's more of loose curls and turns wavy if brushed. I have a frizz problem though. I can't even go into the kitchen to cook for a few hours without coming out with frizzy hair.

Sometimes it's just humidity and there's nothing you can do about it but I was once told that frizz can be a sign of dry hair so try deep conditioning it really does help

ps No way you can have curly hair and not moisturise daily. Your hair will dry up like timir

Yes I get mine from holland and Barrett. Just keep moisturising frequently Also try using that somali method at night where you section your hair into equal parts and twist it all the way to the scalp. Secure tightly with a scarf over night.

(I can't remember the name for it)

Amira

It's called duduub I try to do it most nights, but get lazy sometimes.

Jasmine.

I know but I hate oily moistrisers, it goes on my forehead and the sides of my face. Can't stand it!

I know what you mean, it's why I haven't tried coconut oil despite people raving about it.

Experiment with leave-ins until you find one that works for you. It doesn't have to be oily. I went from mango/olive oil butter to shea butter to African Pride creams to TreSemme Platinum strength leave-in which I now use together with argan oil (best oil to use if you want the sealing minus that greasy feel).

Your hair will change, your preferences will change but either way leave-in/moisturiser is essential for healthy hair

I've stopped using conditioner.. After I take a shower with head and shoulders, I blow dry it with moroccan argan oil. TREsemme is also over hyped, it's so nasty tbh, the white shampoo all sticky and doesn't produce the same amount of foam as h&s.
