Walee times have moved on. Single mothers are no longer hopeless. I've seen it first hand. Sisters who are divorced because their husbands turned out to be flimsy/weak and couldn't handle shiid. These sisters have jobs, degrees, homes, cars their figure is in check, all round independent trust me I have seen single men get knocked back by these women. Don't relay on a free meal ticket.

I am shocked that u take my post as somehow demeaning single moms
I just say I appreciate them.
They have something more than the empty head virgins...
their philosophy is different...they think that God is giving them second chance and its here that I intervene.

"Single Mother"-nimadu ceeb ma aha dee, I laugh at the hypocrisy of some people on SNet who treat it like a disease or affliction
Lots (I mean LOTS) of people on SNet are from single mum households, and maa shaa Allah our mothers have done a brilliant job. Educated & working single mothers are very independent, strong, resilient and ambitious. Niman wax lagu sugo baaba iska yar ayaamahan dee Bareento walal, so good luck on your quest  :D

Correction. It's a generalisation of course, but more often than not that is the case. Hence mums left with kids they simply have to raise up, with very little or no support.
Lillaahiya once discussed the concept of "co-parenting" which is alien to Somalis & our men.
