Saado Cali International Airport?

Post by StormShadow »

Should Bosaaso airport be named after Saado Cali considering it will be a major airport soon it might even overtake muqdisho's airport? Saado Cali admired Bosaaso and even made a song for the city.

If not Saado Cali who else were they going to name the airport after or was it just gonna stay Bendar Qaasim International Airport?

Imagine how this parking lot will look like when it gets renovated. :lawd:

https://www.unops.org/ApplyBO/File.aspx ... 1708f7bca4

Its a good idea but does 'saado cali' (aun) sound like a intl airport suitable hub name for the democratic republic of Puntland ?
Saado cali was a model citzen and icon but i think the current name or another is better. Saado cali should get some districts and roads named after her aswell decorated in the civil area of pl.

Not necessary. Somalis have made a habit of naming some dusty open fields after dead people and then they call it an international airport. Have some shame Zoomalis and stop embarrassing yourselves.

Starkast, is there an airport named after a female icon in any country horta? I see where you coming from.

Elite, what village are you talking about? Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Bosaaso are they all villages in your standard?

How can a jungle also be dusty? EliteSomali, save the cynicism and insults, every major city in the world had humble beginnings. Bosaso's airport is going to have all the facilities any other international airport has, you'll see the pics next summer.

Once upon a time people laughed when it was claimed Bosaso would reclaim its past glory. Today, it is one of the fastest growing cities in East Africa, a city where an IDP earns more money than the average person elsewhere in the country.

Unlike Mogadishu, Bosaso aka Mosylon is self-made, international aid and attention wasn't utilised in its rebirth, only the tenacity and ingenuity of a proud people.

The Muqdisho airport is actually located in a very bad area. It cannot expand at all. Meanwhile Bosaso airport is located miles from the city so that it does not impede growth. Bosaso airport will not actually compete with the Muqdisho airport. It will many cater to cargo and some passengers, while Muqdisho caters mainly to passengers.

Bosaaso is mj city, so it aint gonna happen as Saado was dhulo. always check someone's first before any plans. maybe she can be named after LA, but LA is s/land city and we don't give a fock about dhulos. You can ask Minneapolis to rename their airport after her.
