Disclaimers: Before I receive insults and stupid rants from the emotional Isaaq members. I would like to tell you guys that this is a forum where we discuss every matter from Somali affairs to Jewish affairs to the affairs of the Syrian rebels. Therefore Somaliland is not some kind of holy thing that outsiders cannot discuss about. Now back to the thread.

My observation as a outsider:

90% of Somalis that go on tahriib are from Somaliland. This region is suffering from both economic and social breakdown. But instead of dealing with this problem the authorities in Somaliland are busy worrying and dealing with petty things. Just recently the singing band called Hidagah Geeska Africa (Stars of the Horn) have come to Mogadishu the capital of Somalia in which they have participated a interview and performances for the Somali National TV (SNTV). Now the Somaliland authorities have gone mad about this and started to address this issue instead of addressing the catastrophic dire situation of the tahriib and low economy.

Whilst it's youth are embarrassing the Somali nation by going on tahriib to Europe:

I'am talking about Somaliland authorities i.e. President Siilaanyo, Vice president Saylici and the Somaliland cabinet. Why are they fixating on petty things? and ignoring important things.

Straight from a tahriibist herself, she just said 90% are from Somaliland and she even names their clan. Seems like most of them are Isaaq. She mentions the various Isaaq sub-clans.



I will take her word for it, since she experienced it herself and is aware of the people she has come across.

This was not politics though and fananinta geska made it clear in the video that they were somalilanders.

It is like a TV station based in Europe interviewing some pop stars in New York on Christmas Eve.

I will take her word for it, since she experienced it herself and is aware of the people she has come across.

I said give me evidence statistics conducted by reliable source such as the EU. This womans experience may have been unique to her particular group that was traveling with her.

Provide evidence otherwise you are another darood making up stories and everyone is tired of it

It don't matter if they did the show in Mogadisho or not. What matters is that they are being penalised for participating for the national channel of Somalia.

Also yes the band didn't do their interview and performances for political reasons. However it seems like the Somaliland authorities has made this innocent interview and performance into a political one hence their minister is making a press conference about it. You will admit that your Somaliland cabinet are in the wrong right? They are wasting time on petty things instead of addressing big issues such as tahriib.

but you are claiming to be christian in a somali website and talking about others. Why are you a christian, how much money do you get from missionaries from Italy

Yes Somalis across the world know that Isaaq people are gaalo raac and worship the white men in particular the British. However this has nothing to do with the topic. So please do not derail the thread.
