Here's the letter.
http://www.un.org/depts/los/LEGISLATION ... mation.pdf

Here's there acceptance of that letter.

It says Somalia has declared its limits of EEZ. Once you declare this it means that you've accepted that your territorial waters are 12nm instead of the 200nm that we had before under Law No. 37 on the Territorial Sea and Ports 1972.

Basically this was the plan of the West for awhile as they can persecute pirates by their law, and not held accountable for nuclear waste dumps and illegal fishing. And Norway can take the southern parts near Kenya border.

A 22-page executive summary drawn up by Norway.

About Somalis territorial waters actually 1989 Siad barre goverment adopted the Law of the Sea treaty and siyaad barre goverment 1989 it agreed to change its territorial claims to 12 nautical miles.

http://www.navytimes.com/article/201210 ... puted-case
Somalia adopted the Law of the Sea treaty in 1989, it agreed to change its territorial claims to 12 nautical miles.
the only thing whichs Presedent hassan and goverment before was trying to do is to change what siyaad barre signed 1989.. presedent a resent interview he said Somalias waters are more than 350 nautical miles and no one can change that. .

the Presedent of Somalia said Dhawaan..
Soomaaliya waxay leedahay badda ugu ballaaran qaarada Afrika, biyaha dalkeenna waxay ka badan yihiin baaxada dhulka Soomaaliyeed. Waxaanna nagu waajib ah Iilaalinta biyaha Soomaaliya. Xuquuqda ummad walabi waxaa lagu ilaashadaa sharuucdeeda iyo sharuucda caalamiga Soomaaliyana waxay xubin ka tahay dalalka saxiixay heshiska baddaha caalamiga. Isbuucii la soo dhaafay waxay Dowladda Soomaaliyeed diiwaangashatay 350 nautical miles oo ah biyaheenna xaqa aanu u leenahay’ ayuu yiri Madaxweynaha.
so you qabiiliiiste and al shabaab supporters warxumo tashiiils stop shedding crocodile tears ..

its a fact which prosicutors presented in fornt ofA federal judge in American court. a federal prosecutor presented the document of 1989 Somali goverment lead by siyad barre adopted the Law of the Sea treaty in 1989, which agreed to change its territorial claims to 12 nautical miles..

current somali president said many times Somalis terrotorial waters are 350 nautical miles and he also said goverment will do everything to protect it..
and remember territorial waters are not like Land territorial borders. the territorial waters are disputted almost all the world from Asia. Africa.Europe and Americas. and also every country have actually right to claime its terrotirial waters but that does not mean the other country next to you should regocnice it, anyway my point is the dispution of territorial waters and maritime jurisdiction is actually common.

. about 1989 siyad barre goverment signing somalis territorial waters a 12 NM. actually read closely this document. Actually current somali goverment is trying to change what Siyaad barre signed 1989 infront of United nations..

Oday yahow, we're not badows like those in Somalia that you can just say anything and will believe. We know what the Somali gov't is upto and its lies. Anyways this has been discussed for the past four years.

Dr Culusow talks about exactly what Norway want, that is declaring EEZ under that 'law of the sea 1989 treaty'. This was their plan all along. Maskaxdaada istacmaal, don't be fooled by his smile.
