Snet ladies help me..

Post by Julkimi »

I just burned my rice. I admit I can't cook rice to save my life. I either put too much water to the point of it becoming porridge-like.

I've a rice cooker but I can't depend on my rice cooker all the time. Tell me the secret on making bariis fluffy? And what kind of bariis do you eat? I've been eating brown rice, but I realized brown rice is only good by cooking water with it, you can't add spices.

I would highly appreciate if you shared any bariis recipes?

Love my rice cooker.

Soak the rice before hand. After the first 3 mins of boiling,u lower the heat and simmer.

And yes,u can cook brown rice with spices.

bring water to boil before adding the rice, 2 cups of water for every cup of rice, add the spices straight away, once rice is complete chop up some broccoli and wash, add it to the rice and let it steam on top of the rice.

I eat my rice with anything from chicken to salmon, also like to eat it without any meat and just sweet potato, cauliflower and spinach.

First wash rice, then cut up onions, garlic, coriander, heat oil add the cut up stuff fry for few minutes, add two fresh tomatoes, chicken stock, fry some more, add your cumin and carfiis stuff, add rice, stir then add 1 and half cup of water for every one cup of rice and bobs your uncle. ;)
