Abt to open this in Hargeisa

Post by TheMadSheikh »

If you've been to Hargeisa you have noticed the lack of tourist recreational attractions. People go all the way to Berbera to just do something in the name of fun. Therefore I had this business idea come to me while on a visit to my local Zoo.

No I'm not planning to open a zoo. I tremendously think it will take off. Wish me luck.

If you have the money, open up a small factory or warshad. You'll employ more people and it will actually help the economy. All these hotels and restaurants are useless since the average SLander is poor.

Also the service industry comes after not before. But it's your money so do whatever.

Waraabe I agree. Why would I invest in an overcrowded Hargeisa when there's miles and miles of prime location in Berbera?

My plan does not involve hotels or any of the service sector..I intend to have a place where the diaspora and affluent locals will happily spend their money on my business with a smile on their face

Unless your business involves extracting raw materials and manufacture, you are in the service sector my friend.

You would benefit yourself, the people and the economy if you invested in the production industry.

recreation and tourism should come third and last for Somalis right now imo.

We are not talking abt south Somalia here where talk of recreation would've been absurd..I'm speaking out of my experience while in Hargeisa where people want to have fun but there's lack of service , therefore a business must satisfy that need

Is everyone in Hargeisa rich?

Ofcourse I am not talking about the south . Industries are much needed everywhere in the homeland right now more than anything else forget tourism.

remember that industrial parks make small cities into gigantic cities.

The more industries there are, the more people will have jobs, the higher the living standards, the more people will migrate to that place, the more investors running to the city, the larger the CBD , the more recognized/iconic the city becomes and finally the more thousands of people visiting that place for more than 1 purpose.

Also ive noticed a lot of diaspora fellows planning on going back and building hotels and other recreational facillities . You sure that you won't have a lot of competition later?

Anyways, if you have faith in your money and investment then you go do what you know is right. Good luck

Do I sense some hostility ? In my Haram both sexes are welcome..man will be served by 4 females of their choosing to bath thoroughly while the girls will have the opportunity to pick one guy from a lineup. I believe in equality of the genders.

With all due respect, you're just wasting your time. Hargeysa will never be a tourist destination. There is nothing remarkable whatsoever about the place.
