my son is 4.5 years old and he is the most strong willed human being i've ever came across. he has opinions about everything, from what he eats, his clothes, who i leave him with when i have to, what i do, what he spends his time doing, you name it he has an opinion. he is not a moody child, per se, he is very happy but he just came into the world with full of ideas and how the world should pay attention to him and listen. i put him play with other children and he wants to rule them all and do the things he thinks they should be doing. even though is speech is still a little funny, when we go out to eat he wants to tell waiters or whoever what he wants and how he wants them. sometimes he can get vocal, insistent and strong.

this little guy made parenting an adventure alhamduliah, am just sitting back and going along for the ride.

Your son is an 'elite' child then, mashaalaah. Well, I am not surprised, you are the parent. I have known u for years here in somalinet-- I just HOPE to GOD, your son does not inherit, your early teenage years of melancholia, and your hot temper .

Masha'Allah.. your son is very smart. I hate seeing somali parents always telling the kids to shut up whenever the kid has an opinion. We should listen to what the kids has to say, after all they're the future..

Hard to believe..

I have no idea about parenting but if my kid was opinionated i'd be careful not to let him say the wrong things at the wrong time. I was opinionated myself from a young age and said incredibly rude things to people without knowing it was rude until much later..

That boy needs discipline, and we need less dictators in the world.

actually that's my greatest dream. I want to conqure Africa and rule eastern and central Africa with harsh secularism laws
