I made few threads that explain the grand strategy behind Islamism.

If am not wrong Adam Curtis made a marvellous in-depth documentary about the links between Islamism and Neo conservatism (sayyid qutband & Leo Strauss 1950s)
Infect , I will go even further then adam curtish and say; the idea Islamic nationalism (Islamism) goes back to the 19 century and funny enough both Islamism and Zionism have their origin in European nationalism (only well-read person understand my reference)
