Not good.  A dog in Somalia provides the same safety as a AK-47. Lets us keep it that way.

I like to think Samaale was mauled by a dog which left a genetic memory that causes Somalis to seize up in terror whenever confronted by these vicious beasts.

I remember walking to my bus stop and being "lunged" at (in hindsight they were probably being friendly) by two mammoth dogs that couldn't be restrained by their petite owner.

Had to go back in the house and change my pants :|

What is that fear based on? It looks like --its an epidemic more than just sparse fluke fears. Its either the childhood indoctrination that dogs are Najiis or we are all victims of neighborhood dogs chasing us and biting us in the xafaadha! :eat:

Dogs don't really scare me, tbh I'm more afraid hamsters...those things look weird af. I always wanted a rotweiler or a German shepherd. Dogs are good creatures, you just have to show no fear since they can sense it. There's a reason cadan ppl say their mans best friend. Dogs are amazing animals wallahi. I honestly don't believe there is such a thing as a bad dog, just bad owners. It's a shame their haram because I'd love to have a dog in my house, maybe if I make it to Jannah I'll have a couple dogs. Honestly all you need to do is show no fear, be nice and gentle to the dog and earn its trust...if you do those 3 things the dog will f-king love you.

I remember when I was in grade 8 my niggas dog didn't like me (I don't think he likes darkskins, he attacked my other friend who resembled bangs takeutodamovies) and he started running towards me. I thought this nigga jus wanted me to pet him but it actually bit my leg and took a small chunk of hilib off it. That's probably the only bad experience I've ever had with a dog.

There's actually plenty of Dogs in Somalia and nobody is afraid of them.In fact they are quite docile and afraid of people.
Somehow when these Somali people go to Europe or North america their fear manifests out of no where. I was told because of "movies" they see on TV they think dogs in Europe and North America want to kill you

When I go back to Somalia Im getting 6 dogs

Lol I remember when I was in Somalia, I was bored so I started talking to my neighbours saying things in north america we should implement here,
after a while I mentioned, blind people use Dogs to get around and the dogs are basically their eyes etc.

They couldn't believe it, II got responses of "that's haraam" and "dogs are stupid" etc how can that work.
They were honestly surprised and were speaking of this topic for the entire day.
One woman asked me " why can't they use a cat" instead of a dog lol.

I said the Dogs can be trained to do anything, wouldn't you rather have a Dog watching your goats like the old days, rather then some 6 year that should be in school? It was a nice discussion, mostly the answer was post 1991 "islamism" forbidding dogs :/ and using them. The brainwashing is real.

We need a cultural revolution for sure

To prove my point ask any of your parents if they were afraid of dogs as a child, they will answer HELL NO. This is all post 1991 bullshit.

^ Caesar the saddest part is how shitty they treat dogs in Somalia. Kids are always throwing rocks at them and adults kick em around and shit. Wallahi that typa shit enrages me, a lot of the dogs I seen this happen to (especially in the north) are Mashallah beautiful dogs.

Animal cruelty is hideous. Somalis and dogs aren't compatible.

Haa wallahi unstoppablefade

:( a lot of dogs have one eye and shit, and fucked up legs. Kids literally have nothing better to do damn.

Somails are stupid back home they can get the dog to work for them for free, instead of getting their 7 year old kids to do shit.

The animal abuse is to much, I saw some Somali animal "organization" leaflet posted in a restaurant once saying they want to stop it
( should have taken a pic damn) but I haven't seen them physically do anything I think they just collect lacaag.

The culture needs to change, plus there needs to be more animal control.

At night sometimes in the north, packs of wild dogs (around 15 or 16) run through the city at night and the dogs get their revenge on people, and fight hyenas!!!! The next morning I saw a dead hyenas leg bitten off or something :/

The night was live

 lol it'd be a fun run all the way from the city centre to our house trying not to catch rabies and dodge throwing rocks from people aiming for the dogs. Ah good times

Salute to whoever said don't fear the dog and it's good as a puppy no matter what size it is, i can attest to that.

They're dirty as hell though, unless you train them they will crap on your carpet, eat your breakfast and spread fleas everywhere. I've had Jeffo as a roommate for weeks on campus, had to get him sterilised.

Lol its all about that NGO money lol. I swear next time i go back i'm gonna track down the "organization" and call them out on their bullshit.

Wow those are some proper wild dogs, i think they are called yeeye? or something i never seen them in my ends unfortunately our wild "dogs" are some pathetic sad looking starving dogs that go wild at night,at least in the city, in badiye i dont know if we have those types of dogs left

but my area had a lot of baby foxes wallahi they come out to play on rainy days, and tons of sagaaro and shit.

Somehow in north somalia theres proper gaalo dogs like the ones u see in canada n shit ive seen i dunno how the fuck they got there in somalia but they aint being used for shit lol. they are domesticated dogs but running wild which means we used them in the past.
Lol its hard to find somali dogs online so heres some pics of some dogs i kinda seen back home
Image

^most of them i seen were all white not really brown bust mostly looked like that, all pathetic looking and shit but the puppies were healthy. Their diet of garbage makes them weak when they get older.

Id rather have more of the wild dog u posted .
For the wild dog take one and raise it to watch the property  they look cool wallahi
