Ok so Al-shabab is defeated and ina Godane's head is cracked.

Now what does Dahabshil do NEXT?

Starts to compete with Hormoud Telecom on a one to one basis via competition.


Dahabshil no longer has the resources to damage the Somali government.

It can longer finance al-shabab since the Org is DEAD.

Its good that Hormoud Telecom is working hard to build a good relationship with the government.

Somtel was founded by Cali khalif Galaydh AKA mar uun madaxweyne i dheha in 1990s. It was supposed to reach telecom to Lascaanod and surrounding areas but business was unprofitable from the start. Around ten years ago Dahabshiil bought somtel from Cali khalif, turned around the business, made it profitable and expended. Now it is the second largest somali telecommunication company after Hormoud/Teleson/Golis group. It operates both in Somaliland and Somalia and it is owned by Dahabshiil 100%.
