Then, once upon an unfortunate afternoon you come across a period movie directed by ALL people an adoon Ghanian woman. First, having recovered the oddity of such a possibility, you allow a sense of liberality that-- she must be refined and one can over look the naked adoon nose and features before you and appreciate her art. You watch her film--directly with all the proper costume and elegance yes, but the content shock me.
Amidst --the elegance and the estates--this intolerable Ghanian adoon director dare influx her adooniimo in the plot. A scene where a half cast black woman with her father a white aristocrat. As if that is not shock and bothersome itself, she interjects NAPPY hair in the picture. A scene where a black servant helping her adoon mistress to comb her nappy hair. There and there, all elegance is lost. While the white people are judging themselves over who is a farmer or who is a gentleman, this adoon woman main concern is---Do I need a thug rap star style large comb to tackle my NAPPY HAIR?
My venting ends here. So is my viewing, unfortunately.
