There was a similar stories in the news couple of weeks back about a food bank in Ottawa refusing to accept donations they considered 'unhealthy'. They said all canned foods, chips, macaroni & cheese, chocolates, etc., will no longer be accepted because some food bank manager deemed these food items very detrimental to the health and well being of their clients. Needless to say, this backfired big time, and after a widespread public outcry, the local food bank management changed their mind and now once again accept all sort of foods.
My dear Barbarossa..your name brings wisdom that our fellow snetters here have no idea about but I do recognize it very well... That been said..
On a serious note... Im very much disgusted by the "Imam"..I mean this is the type of Imams that are full in our Somali society..These imams are shortsighted and despicable...here he is encouraging ignorant people in our community to demand in a situation where they have no right to demand, instead of giving them wisdom and the Islamic way of doing things he instead is leading the blind ..Im very much disgusted..
Barbarossa, I must tell you that I work in an environment where I come into contact with our Somali people. As you know I live in a Somali central place. I have witnessed where Somalis would be so rude and demanding as if they are entitled to this service. The service happens to be government assistance but yet they dont comprehend that this is begging and they beggars. It just doesnt occur to them and it just foreign to them to thing in such a way. They are yelling at a case worker who is working her butt off, who is waking up early in the morning, as opposed to our Somali lady who's tatted up with Henna yelling at this case worker. How would you think the case worker treats them? The case workers I see treat the Somalis as a piece of xaar and they truelly deserve it. This case worker knows her tax money is going to someone kibir badan who is using that money to flaunt her lifestyle.
