Gay marriages in the Somali community

Ontario is set to register it's first known gay marriage involving a Somali since the law was passed in 2003.

My sources indicate a gay factory worker named Abokar (sp?) from the city of Hamilton, about an hour southwest of Toronto, will be marrying his long-time white boyfriend. That's all the information I know. He is in his late 20s and came as a refugee in the early 90s

To think in our barbaric homeland this man would be slaughtered while in Canada the community receives the news joyously and with thanksgiving. Some will justify their bigotry against homosexuality as God's will, but I say what country shows proof of God's favor—Canada or Somalia?
