Is President Asad of Syria a Political Genius

Post by Khalid Ali »

How he is winning the war and exposed the farce that was called the Arab spring ,its ironic how the west and President asad are on the same page currently ,fighting terrorism. The strategy of how he discredited and undermined the FSA and the so called moderates that were battling his regime. Its astonishing on how President of Syria handled the conflict let ISIS than ISIL attack and become very violent and declare war on the west. As many people were hoping that NATO would bomb president asad's regime, they are now bombing Syrias terrorists groups helping the Syrian regime. :D

Now President Obama might say he is not helping Asad but indirectly he is doing that and if there is a vacuum the Quds forces of Iran will fill the vacuum. Diplomatically the Syrian regime is winning the hearts minds of the free world as its battling extremists terrorists and allot of people are reviewing, the so called we must fight for democracy in Syria, its seems the Pentagon has no real strategy on how to handle Syria. And since there is no real command no cohesiveness with in the FSA and the opposition is weak it will take years for the west to build, and all attempts to create one block with in the opposition has failed u have Jabhat al nusra on one side the group that calls it self Islamic state on the other. President Asad and the Iranians on the other.

The west is politically handicapped in the Syrian war they want Asad gone but there is no other alternative and Asad has eliminated any sort of real political opposition , there are only the Jihadists and they are just killing left right. And the west was forced to fight them the Bombardment will continue ISIS will be severely weakened and Syrian government troops will fill the vacuum, its only sad that allot of innocent Syrians lost their lives. Fight against terrorism shall continue

If surviving the rebel fighters and Nato backed militants, and then destroying 80% of your country, then yes, he is a genius.

He should've stepped down before Syria went down this road.

That's what Siyaad Bare thought also, he thought if he could outlast the Jabhado, then he would have a chance. Dictators always think that.

Syria would never be the same again, too many people have died, million more made refugees, million others lost their property. It would forever be like this.

And now foreign Jihadist are involved, along with everyone else in the mideast.

You guys have to understand the circumstance asad is in and how he pulled off i think he has done a good job. Secondly nthe syrian army is still intact a bit weakened but its still keeps on roling . Yes allot of lives have been lost but Syria still has a future once the jihadist are removed.

Only a Zoomali would think losing military bases and having whole battalions wiped out is winning.

If simply retaining the presidential palace is considered "political genius," then yes he is. But Assad has lost Syria. His people despise him, most of his neighbors are plotting against him., his country is ruined and setback decades. He may avoid Gaddafi's fate for a few more years, but Assad will never become rehabilitated.

Have you any evidence about how his people despise him? Just accept that you're envious of Assad's ability to withstand demons and devils.

Asad would get what's coming to him sooner or later. Its just sad he chose take his country with him before he goes down.

Russia would keep him on a life support for couple of years, but he would ultimately get what's coming to him.

We would see how his regime ends here on SNet.

He is sxb, ha sugi waayin. They fall sooner or later.

Khalid, Gurey iyo LeJus would hopefully see the truth someday. The Assad regime have been in power for half a century, thats 50 yrs.

Could you imagine if Siyaad Bare was in power that long and what ever Jabhado that rised against him were called terrorist and bombed?

Well thats what Syria is going through now and would probably see hundreds of more dead because of Putin.

He could walk away and live comfortably in his beloved Iran at the beginning of the conflict instead of killing, killing and more killing. Genius, no.
