War Reparation on Siad Barre's allies and his military junta

Post by SayyidUmar »

Should Somalia Current Government seek War Reparation from those Aligned or Regions associated with the former dictator and President Mohamed Siad Barre and his military junta in order to start a comprehensive and meaningful national reconciliation? Discuss

Reparation
In jurisprudence, reparation is replenishment of a previously inflicted loss by the criminal to the victim. Monetary restitution is a common form of reparation. Reparation through community service is based on the collectivist notion of society as a singular entity that is capable of being victimized, or on the notion of the State as the victim of all crime.

here is a interesting video, is about Argentina regarding War reparation and truth commissions.

No I just wanted people to try to understand who the reparation were aimed at.

If you take resources from people it just another circle of war and poverty. I am talking about real national reconciliation.

If Barre and his junta were miraculously revived and returned to Somalia as the original body of 21 October 1969, they won't be judged...they'd be asked to lead

No you misunderstood should war reparation be placed on regions and places associated with the former president? i.e. gedo region or kismayo?

No, not that it's even feasible in Somalia.
