A group of ultra-religious Somalis in my city have packed up and moved to Detroit inorder to create a utopia of a Somali enclave. They bought houses next to one another and they intend to open a school in one of the houses. Homes in. Detroit are going so cheap one guy is asking an IPhone for it..

Wow. Property is insanely cheap there... What's the catch though? Back taxes? Crime rates are high but the neighbourhoods of random properties I've just Google'd don't seem to be that bad. Schools, shopping malls, hotels etc would all follow.
