UAE is big enemy of somalia/mogadishu

One of their dirty wars to stop the rebirth of somalia is targeting mogadishu port as somalis are the second ethnicity after the persians that use their ports(dubai) and this will effect their economy!

Sources are saying that the turkish vessel that was carrying some navy boats for the government is still in there bc of the UAE being against them landing there to the point that the turkish said if you can't take them we will give them some region and infact that region have welcomed it until they heard the story or being contacted by the UAE and accordingly changed its mind!!

President hassan is avoiding to clash with the UAE bc they have connections with local politicians and even have infiltrated in amisom let alone their ethiopian friends!

Plus they may use the pm

Turkey is serious and wants her factories to trade with somalia while the UAE is only there for corruption!

When turkey is building some thing, it brings with her her reconstruction company

When they said 55% of the port revenues will go to the govt it doesn't mean that they will take the rest but to pay for the costs(the reconstruction company)

Remember what happened to the UAEs announcement of building villa somalia? They hired some local moqawilin who only built the gate and then disappeared!

I believe the same thing will happen to the parliament!

UAE is also against exploring the somalia oil for two reasons: their oil will get cheaper, that you will not need them like libya and somalia are used for as a political card in the arab disagreements

Fuck UAE!

Worst their guy in the parliament is mahad cawad the second deputy of the speaker who's not a native to mogadishu(from the anti-stability and development groups!)

No. :russ:

Grateful? When have Somalis seen any of that money? UAE gives a lot of their funding in cash. Most of that cash is pocketed and a small percentage is used for development - not nearly enough to justify the millions the gov gets from international funding. If UAE really wanted to help, they would do what the Turks have done, which is commit to projects instead of throwing cash around.

Turkey just took over port authority in Mogadishu, I guess this may be why?

This is good news for us (my company and other logistivs comps), because inshaAllah it means that prices will remain static and we can rely on a transparent authority - not worry about contributing to corruption of that scale. Imagine this: We have never been given a tariff book by the previous Somali authority because 'prices are subject to change at any time'. Immediately after authority change, we now have a document with all the tariffs. How can we move forward when we are constantly trying to cheat each other?

I agree with OP. Fk those bastards. And fk Somalis who are up their asses. Excuse my language. :geek:
