My entire life I thought 'munaasabad' meant tragedy.

Somali TV stations is how I realised (in the past few months) that I was mistaken :?

Qowdhaan is a waaqoyi name, I always thought the word meant 'boner' in af Somali

Buufis, I found out it meant paranoia (or something along those lines). Someone would mention that an individual buufis ayaa ku dhacay and I'd just laugh along with them not knowing wtf they were on about :lol:

I used to think Buufis was a medical condition that is the complete opposite of anorexia. So people with Buufis, would balloon up after overeating a lot.

What does it mean though?

There are many Somali words I always misunderstood, can't remember them all.

I worded it better there. It's even worse when you put it like this:
"wan ku leeyahay lacag" iyo "waa laygu leeyahay lacag"... sound too similar, too confusing :lol:
