The war against SNM weakened Somali Army but after 1982 Somali army was no match for Ethiopian soldiers who had more tanks, planes and artillery than Siad Barre forces.

The reality is Ethiopian Air Force could strike Somalia territoy at will after 1983. Somali generals and soldiers could do little to avoid those attacks.
