I'm also unsure how your reasoning can be the answer to why our women are "seeking sexual jihad" as some sticky-fingered SNetters say, and why you failed to mention their communities are more covert and insular, and as such we wouldn't be aware of such statistics

Secondly (normally I let this slide, this is SNet afterall) but Salafiyyah (I don't like Wahabiyya) isn't what people think it is or how some unfortunate people represent it. It isn't extremist Islam. What most people associate Salafiyyah with is actually takfiiris. Salafiyyah is in fact what all Somalis and most Sunni Muslims do every day without labelling it. I am not sure myself what difference the label makes, but nonetheless it is also not harmful. Summarised simply, it is worshiping Allah alone & following His guidance through Qur'aan & Sunnah of the Prophet SCW & his saxaabah. That's it. Easy peasy.
Salafiyyah is in fact staunchly against what extremists are doing in other countries, and they'd be the first to remind you of the Hadiith where you're supposed to "follow the law of the land you're in". They're also against protests or anything against the rulers. Also, there are sects that wrongly claim Salafiyyah but as I stated before, they are inherently Takfiiri or Tawaakuli or some other sect. The majority of people (including our lovely SNetters, including you probably) are Salafi without knowing. I think we are not asking the important question which is why are these girls and boys joining isis? What can we do to prevent them from doing this? Who or what is motivating and or convincing them? It is highly unlikely that these kids just wake up one day with the desire to join isis. Someone is persuading them whether on purpose or not. It could be the shaikh in the mosque who delivers friday sermons on the plight of the arabs or it could be someone who approaches them to join syria. I think Somali parents need to take more interest in their children. They should know where and with whom they are at all times.

Come on sis a lot of Salafi scholars have spoken publicly about their support for these groups and declared it to be a 'jihad'. They have donated much of their oil wealth to support these groups. Shaykh Nabil Al Awadi was recently stripped of his Kuwaiti citizenship because of his support for daaish {socalled Islamic State}.

None of the men you've listed above are Salafi "shuyoukh" walal, and they haven't identified themselves as such (not once), so this is not evidence.
Salafi "sheikh" is almost an oxymoron term in itself walal; Salafis believe that the last culamaa were the big 5 of our current lifetime: Albaani, Ibn Utheymiin, Ibn Baaz, Ibn Jabriin and Ibn Fawzaan. The rest are called 6alabatul cilm (seekers of knowledge). I am aware and sorta humbled that even the more prominent people with greater Islamic resources and facilities can still get it wrong.
Cariifi's one is an emotional case tbh, he's involved coz he has Syrian in his blood (I heard, not sure if it is true). Again this questions the motives of these people.
