The following sentence got my attention during Mr.President Ahmed mohamed silanyo at an interview " ' we don't push hard for recognition and we would like to be recognized ' .....he didn't sound assertive and imperative all.

Re: Somaliland independence battle like Scotland or Cataloni
Ramzy the case of Scotland and Catalonia cannot be compared to SL , Scotland has been a member of the UK for 307 years and in a civilized manner it was to a vote just recently to go it alone or to be separate they choose to be united with the UK.
Somaliland was an independent state 26 june in 1960 it was an independent state before Somalia before Kenya it united with Somalia to form the Somali republic , the recognition of SL is a political issue but the AU agrees with the legitimacy of SL and its uniqueness, Somaliland case can be very much compared to the Eritrean case and to some extend the South Sudan case. The only difference between Somaliland and South Sudan and Eritrea. South sudan had no legal borders it was created by the Dinka and the Nuer and the Arab Sudanese clans with the Egyptian English Treaties. Eritrea was part of Ethiopia prior to Italian Colonialism.
Somaliland has a much stronger case Somalia and Somaliland never ever shared a state before 1960 not before 1884 and there was only a short union from 1960 to 1991 and 10 years we were at war with them.

very weak interview , " we don't bush hard for recognition" is that a boast or a regret?
