That's just rocket artillery, similar to the BM-21 Somalis have. Nothing really amazing about it.

Same thing. They're both medium to long distance rocket artillery. By the way, they both won't stand a chance against a tank at close range but I see what you mean, a BM 21 is more vulnerable to gunfire and RPGs.
