Sxb, for 2:62, it's agreed upon that this is talking about those Jews and Christians that came before the prophet, like waraqa bin nawfal before the prophet reached 40, he died, and he recognised the muhammad as a prophet. We belive he will go jannah.

You misunderstand the ayah. The jews and the christians the ayah refers to are the jews who used to live during prophet Muse and followed him, and the christians being referred as those who used to live during prophet isa and followed him. Those days those religions were complete and anyone who was alive then and practiced these religions like they were told and died that way, then yes those people will be rewarded. No jew or a christian living today will be rewarded for practicing their religions because those religions don't exist anymore. It is Islam today. Allah says so in the quran.
