Where are you flying from? I had the same experience last week.
BTW, Norway is not that cold compared to some parts of northern Europe.

LHR to Oslo, then back to LHR and day after off to HRG via DXBJaalleMarx wrote:Where are you flying from? I had the same experience last week.

Yeah it's not as cold as some part, but around mid November average temp is around 1 degree Celsius max.
The weather in London today is something else never seen it like this before in November

Re: Extremes
But London is called- in fact colder than Oslo- even though it rarely snows. Wind and humidity.MoAwr wrote:LHR to Oslo, then back to LHR and day after off to HRG via DXBJaalleMarx wrote:Where are you flying from? I had the same experience last week.

HRG will be very warm and green this time of the year.
Safar salaam.
I was in Africa last two weeks; 30-35 but felt like 45 C
Re: Extremes
Jalla thank you but I have to disagree with on London being colder then Norway or Oslo especially during autumn and winter months
How often do you travel? Is it work or hobby?

Re: Extremes
Let us agree to disagree. There are parts of Norway that are very cold in the winter/autum - 25-35 C is common. Oslo and the west coast is relatively mild -10- +5 in the winter.MoAwr wrote:Jalla thank you but I have to disagree with on London being colder then Norway or Oslo especially during autumn and winter months

London is cold because of the wind and because of humidity. It could say 2-6 degrees but it feels like -15
Work. Almost 140 travelling days/year.
P.s. If you go to Oslo make sure to buy fill your suitcases with clothes, food, cig etc for the folks you will meet. It is very expensive. Not as expensive as Luanda but still expensive
Re: Extremes
Yeah very expensive indeed when relative come over for a visit they tend to go shopping spree!
Luanda you say! How is the development going over there, last time I've checked it was in the double digits! Has it trickled down to the common man or is it still only felt by the elite or well connected communities?
What do you do? If you don't mind?

I like the concept of TRICKLE DOWN. I was there a few years ago and the economy was booming; Chinese investments because of oil and other resources. Infrastructure ; roads, railways, homes etc.
Many foreign workers, mainly from Brazil and Portugal.
Expensive; 4-5 stars were unavailable (should be booked 6 months earlier).
As regards those on the lower end of the pyramid there is of course trickling down effect. But, this is too slow. Not at the fast pace to create an Angolan middle class which is a neccessity for economic growth.
Mozambique and Tanzania are also undergoing the same kind of economic dynamism as Angola.
Is that you in the picture?
About what I do, I want to plead the fith as they say in the USA.

Re: Extremes
Plea 5th lol ok bro, as for the trickle down concept is favourite around here in the uk these days, mayor Boris would say "pour all of the jam in the middle of the bread it would eventually spread to other parts" lol in regards to all forms of investment being poured to in to London in the expense of other part of the uk.JaalleMarx wrote:MoAwr wrote:Yeah very expensive indeed when relative come over for a visit they tend to go shopping spree!

Re: Extremes
MoAwr,
Interesting that Boris, a right of centre politician, is using a concept of the 1950s. He might have a point though; Wealth trickles down to the poor. Capitalism thrives on the presence of a pyramid.
What is Ken L doing by the way? He changed London for the better.
