I just found it interesting. Nothing to do with clans.
I think it shows you the economic growth of Puntland that Garowe has higher electricity output than larger cities like Beledwayne and Burco.

You would think the hundreds of millions in aid would have more of an effect.
Corruption is restricting development in Muqdisho

Don't be surprised
Xamar as a whole has a lower per capita income than most cities in Puntland or Somaliland. Most of the people see new construction and think it is doing well. Its not really, there is extreme social stratification in Xamar. While incomes are more spread out in Puntland or Somaliland. Xamar has many rich people and many poor people and virtually no middle income group.

So why peaceful SL and PL suffer from tahriib epidemic if the life is so good there ?

Add to the fact that many people are coming to the capital everyday making the most out of the high consumer purchasing power.

thats interesting thegoodshepherd. it shows boosaaso is growing fast. its not suprising to me that garowe light is similar to other bigger cities because gorawe is the capital of puntland. it may have more hotels and inportant security lights than galkacyo (all government buildings needs security lights at night) . bring some more images from other east african cities. thanks

There's a lot of progress just within the short period, I'm almost certain once peace has been restored the sky is the limit.
