Re: teenage somali girl admits to letting her baby die
What a sad story. A very young mother with difficult circumstances and lack of family and institutional support. I pray she recovers soon from her psychological wounds.

Read this again.
"She had been married in her mid-teens after being taken from the UK to Somalia and returned to the UK about two years ago after becoming pregnant with her daughter - referred to in court only as baby W.
The judge said British Embassy officials had helped the mother "escape" from Somalia."
Why would the British Embassy help the mother of the deceased child to escape if she wasn't forced to live there? She would have been 15-16 years old when she was "forced" into marriage. The article also mentions a 'civil case' involving the dad in the High Court.
