Iran Deems Expansion of Ties with Djibouti as Important
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani underlined the importance of broadening mutual cooperation with Djibouti in political and economic areas.
"Djibouti is in a sensitive geographical region and expansion of political and economic ties with that country is important to Iran," Larijani told reporters in Tehran on Sunday after his return from a two-day visit to Djibouti.
He noted that during his visit to Djibouti he had discussed expansion of bilateral ties and important regional issues with senior Djiboutian officials.
Larijani visited Djibouti in the Horn of Africa at the official invitation of his Djiboutian counterpart and attended the inaugural ceremony of the new building of the Djibouti Parliament.
On Saturday, Larijani called on Djibouti to broaden its cooperation with Iran in the fight against terrorism, specially in the campaign against international sea piracy.
"The two countries' cooperation in fighting pirates is of paramount importance," Larijani said in a meeting with Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh in the Djibouti City.
He referred to Djibouti as a friendly and brother country, and said, "The two countries have good relations in various fields."

Eritrea has an army that ethiopia knows is not going to bluff if they cross the mereb river, or did you think we are cowards like you opening our legs to anyone. unlike djbouti's issa khat eating so called army who are more of a police force for the french army there and only good at singing songs with fat ugly b***hes and crying to the arabs to the black eye they got from losing ras doumeira. Just wait now that america is forgetting about the horn and ethiopia is planned for a chaos as we promised we will wipe Issa out from the whole horn and ship you to as far away as kenya so you live there as third class citizen serving the Bantu's you 2 faced cowards after we give afar their land back,Issa the only tribe traitor enough to fight ahmed gragn and other somali on the side of their masters the habesh.SecretAgent wrote:That was a suprise attack army wasnt ready and the mamsaan president fucked it up come 2016 furlabes win elections things will change. Somalis were originally Shia Muslims not Sunni. Inshallah 2020 Menelik Square in Djibouti will be filled with Issas taking part in Ashura Rooze ceremonies.
