do you support somali balkanization

Post by Metternich »

There is a structural and cultural problem in Somalia, which prevents a unified nation, so would it not be prudent if we abolish the notion of Somali republic and created independent states, who exercise self-determination.

I personally support the independence of Jubaland, now do I support the independence of Somaliland or any other land. No.
we have to maintain balance of power and the pre-eminence of jubaland we can`t have too many banana republics in the neighbourhood, it devalues the real estate and pollutes a noble concept
That my opinion, do you support humane euthanasia for the mad dog called Somalia

Thank you ladies and gentleman and please do not act in a boorish manner.
we are civilised people and I expect a civil discourse and remember any peasantry behaviour lets me know about your heritage and I will not engage you because I follow chivalric code

you have a provincial attitude, I know when I see a reer wagooyi ( no offence)

The people of mogadishu are the most cosmopolitan people among the somalis, they are not 1 generation urban dwellers like the good folk you from.

I have been saying for years on this website, that jubaland will be independent, the only problem is; that the jubaland masses are slow to recognize their faith.

I believe as they become more disenchanted from the central goverment, the more they are open to alternative solution.

unlike other somali regions jubaland is not in geopolitical fault line

The former Somali republic is already balkanized Puntland is independent all in name only

Somaliland already broke away and south central is trying to create federalism , as for Jubbaland i am not sure if they want to separate from Somalia

Somalis will want to break up even more though. It wont stop at Puntland and Somaliland. Its inevitable that mini states will emerge within the places that broke away in the first place.

Secession isn't the answer. The answer is treating everyone fairly and to find solutions to our problems

The Somali people will eventually have one country from Djibouti to Jigjiga to Garissa to Kismayo to Mogadishu to Bosaso to Hargeisa to Borama.

Somaliland is a different country all together. But the rest of the 2.5 tuulo states should be grouped together lest they get colonised and get abused by ajnabis. Its in their best interest.

The country as a whole is not independent let alone little slave regions that apparently like to pretend like they are independent entities. Continue to embarrass yourselves since it is the only thing Somali politicians are insanely good at.

Whole heartedly! The days of living with bandits & thieves are behind us. Jubaland & Puntland will thrive without the wildebeest in Xamar who enjoy living by the rules of the jungle, I say good riddance to bad rubbish. Self determination for all is the only way to square out this circle.

As has been already mentioned....all the regions are dependent on foreigners.....some more than others.
