Stop marinating in negativity! I use to frequent the chatrooms I joined the forum as a joke but I soon realized how it keeps me in the loop with what's happening around the world. I don't have facebook or twitter so this place kinda kept me up to date and informed especially with issues plaguing the Somali community at large. Now that I've been on here for a minute I am realizing that a lot of the news that is shared is not being shared to inform but rather to demoralize and kinda maintain the status quo as far as Somalia/Somalis are concerned. AND quite frankly I am tired of it! Would it hurt to share some good news? I urge mods to regulate the self hate that is taking place day in and day out. It gets tiresome.

Apparently you don't understand the concept of the First Amendment, freedom of speech, yes, including hate speech is protected. Living in wherever you live in the Middle-East does not offer you the luxury of freedom of thought. Totalitarianism in A-Rabe countries is not something to emulate. And, if you want to keep up with the news follow CNN, NY Times, Reuters and other reputable sites. If you seek regional news, follow RTD, All Africa and Indian Ocean Letter.
