So. One of the Kulmiye MPs in Ceerigaabo in 2012 who got many votes is actually a Gadhweyn guy Lol. In 2015 Kulmiye will have to face former
UDUB/UCID combined in Sanaag and Togdheer.

Excellent for population estimate because we know that approximately 50% of the population of SL is below voting age.
2010 minimum district population estimates:
Boorama: 226,000
Gabiley: 175,000
Hargeysa 464,000
Berbera 62,000
Ceel Afweyn 70,000
Erigavo 150,000
GarAdag 42,000
Las Anod 100,000
Caynabo 100,000
Burco 360,000
Buuhoodle 31,000
Oodweyne 100,000
And by region, rounded up to the nearest 10k.
Awdal 360,000
Maroodi Jeex 730,000
Saaxil 90,000
Sanaag 300,000
Sool 200,000
Togdheer 500,000

These numbers cannot be relied on for many reasons. First of all the website that you obtain from, africanelection.com, does not specify where they got this info. Secondly, these numbers that had been given to them are not justifiable since hargeysa has only 165000 votes in a city that has approximately 1 millions souls. Lastly, if you go to this website you will see that the election in 2001 had more register voters than 2010. All in all, one cannot make any assumption about SL population using the register voters. Unfortunately, politics in africa is still corrupted and not a reliable source. Let's not forget as well that a lot of population are still camel herders.
