Do cops treat Somalis different than Blacks?

So I was reading the hashtag #Alivewhileblack, and all the black folks are claiming to be racially profiled for just being black.
I never heard of Somalis experiencing that, I remember last year around Eid time, my brother and I were driving our uncle to the Somali mall, he missed a stop sign and the cops stopped us, they asked my brother for his license and he said he forgot his wallet at home, I swear the (white) cop just gave him a warning, and said don't forget it again, and let us go. Black folks are saying they were detained for just driving around, or even at a red light. I live in MN, and I never heard of Somalis complaining about cops. A friend of mine backed up into a cop's car last winter, and the cop helped her and didn't even asked for her insurance.

Are Somalis treated differently? my co-worker who happens to be origin from Gabon, told me today he was once detained by cops for almost 2 hours once because he was changing his tire on the side of the road.

Even light skin Hispanics get treated like sh!t by cops in urban places of the US. I doubt Somalis would fare better.

It definitely happens. In my old city of Vaughan they were known (I am sure they still are) to plant stuff on you. I thought they only did that in gangster movies and was shocked to hear it's a reality.

My brothers/cousins have been targeted numerous times, and they didn't roll with Dwaynes.

BS.. especially in places with high % of Somalis the white people can tell who is Somali from other blacks.

In places with low % of Somalis, they most likely assume that a random Somali is just a weird looking black person.
