I found this cool website today that I think you guys should check it out. Some of you might relate to some of their post. I highly suggest you take the time to check their website out. It's worth it!

"Araweelo Abroad is an online magazine established in 2014.

Named after the ancient Somali Queen; it is a cyber homecoming for the baati babes and nomadic camel queens currently living outside the motherland.

Araweelo Abroad is a safe space for Somali womyn to reflect, celebrate and talk about their experiences."

lol I know people who go to UTSC (Toronto Uni) and they write womyn everywhere. Anyways, thanks for the page walaashay!

No problem! & I'm from the US. I have yet to see someone from my area write "women/woman" as "womyn so that's pretty cool!

I've seen it floating around on twitter. But it seems like a "safe-place" for Somali "sisters" to share stories. Nothing biggie.

I fully support this project. Good people with good politics, i.e. critical thinkers that are down for radfem, radself-love, class consciousness, are behind it.

Oh and if it is a lesbian training ground all the better!
