Islamic Political Parties, The Truth

Post by RedPanther »

One thing that I’ve noticed throughout the years is that,
Islamic political parties are prevented or hinderd from coming to power. Islamic political parties in non Arab Muslim countries don’t have their activities restricted to the level of their Arab allies.

Just look at Turkey. The AKP have now had power for 12 years. In those twelve years they have turned Turkey from laughing stock of Europe to an up and coming world power, who now have an economy that will soon match that of Western European countries. Turkey now has nearly half a million university graduates a year, and do so many humanitarian project in undeveloped countries. I could go on and on with the great achievements of the AKP. Never in the 80 years of extreme secular Kemalist rule have Turkey achieved what the Islamic AKP done in 12 years. But you see some people don’t like these developments.

Now ask yourselves a question is it due to these developments in Turkey that Islamic parties are prevented from coming to power in other parts of the Muslim world?

You see there is this false sentiment always thrown around. That sentiment is that once Islamic political parties gain power they will want to take those countries back to the, “middle ages”, back to a time of “living in mud huts and tents in the desert”. One has to ask, if these secular and modern regimes in the Muslim world, do indeed stand for; Justice, Modernity, Freedom of Religion, Rights of Women, Rights of Minorities and Freedom of Speech/Thought, then how come the Muslim world with these regimes come at the bottom in the world in relation to the above?
