Somaliland has protected it borders since 1991. Without any outside aid and no milatery assisatance it has managed to secure its borders and protect its own people.
somaliland unlike neighboring somalia has always had total control of the countries security and defence.
Somaliland has managed to chase away somali pirates, stop anti somaliland militias at their base before they could take off and become a threat to to people of somaliland, Somaliland also managed to take full control of its eastern regions which was falsely claimed by puntland.


Now the latest news is Somaliland has managed to stop illegal fishing in its waters. The Somaliland coastguard managed to arrest more than 250 individuals who where mainly Yemani and Egyptians. The Somaliland Coastguard managed to seize 51 yemani boats and 1 egyptian ship.

I bet they will never come back if we take over all their fishing boats. those arabs dont go to pirate zones bacause they know the real danger there. we are too soft to just arrrest fine and release !

I think they should keep all the seized assets and lock to guys up in mandeera prison. This would teach these stupid arabs a lesson, never to come back to
somaliland waters again. They got to close, that the coastguard had to step in. Imagine all the fish that they are stealing from us.
Knowing Somaliland it is true, they could let these men go.
I don't blame these arabs, because Allah gave somaliland a long coast, which is the envy on neighbouring countries like ethiopia. But instead of using their water and having finshing communities a long coastal areas. Just like everywhere else in the world, they rather heard their goats and sheep.
