Back In the days you could have said three guys jumped you or the guy but got some hits in while his friend was holding you back.all this technology has changed that and there is no place to hide.the kid made a wrong choice, but I know many that would have done the same thing when they were his age.

15 years is still a long time.dont forget risk of violence in prison, increased mental health risks, high re-offending rates and very little chance of employment-he done messsd up his life and took another life.

Seing thats he is only 17, even if he gets 15years, he'd be out in his 30's. Still has time to become a productive member of society.

You are correct sxb, when I was in county, I got the best advice from one of the old school inmates there.

He said the worst thing about coming to Jail wasn't about being raped, stabbed or getting beat up. It's getting use to coming back.

Most Jails and prisons nowadays don't even feel like Xabis. U feel like u are in vacation. Flat screen TV, GYM, prayer areas, library and 3 meals and a cot.

It's a revolving doors, and people just come back because there is nothing to fear.

That guy u described got use to being in prison.
