Django Unchained ....
I finally watched it on cable after deliberately avoiding it for two years. It was funny and yet soooo sooo racist. I cant believe that Tarantino--director and writer. He is a racist pretending to be black folks friends.
Re: Django Unchained ....
I haven't seen it, but it's on my Netflix queue. Heard good things about it.

U will like it Gamer. Look out for Samuel Jackson performance-- soooo hilarious. He plays a house ni.gg.er----so annoying and so convincing as an actor.

Terrentino is a good writer. He is one of those directors that don't give a shit about taboo topics. He will write it, direct it and will not apologize for it. This was a good movie.

Re: Django Unchained ....
Madow directors need to make more films about revolutionary historical episodes during slavery.it would be good to see films about the maroons, the bahia uprising, marcus garvey or even the likes of assata shakur.the passive slave narrative has been overdone and it actually serves a purpose just like the over promotion of gandhi and mlk in western history books.

Basra: You were bothered by the overuse of the N word but you cheered for the white folks getting killed. You are racist.Basra- wrote:eliteeliteSomali wrote:Terrentino is a good writer. what was so good about it?I mean, I grant u the acting was superb, but the material and subject was a little bit too much. Especially, the liberal use of the N word. I means, seriously--- in the end when the white folks got shot into pieces, I was cheering, but I didn't know why.

Me racist? No. I don't think so. Nor am I a qabilist. I think I was moved by the movie. The movie prepared me to hate white people, sort of like they are the bad guys in the movie, so naturally I cheered when they were slaughtered.
