I don't remember my parents (or the parents of any of the kids I grew up with back home) talking to us about how babies are made & sex etc and we somehow figured out as time went on so is it really necessary that parents talk to their kids about such adult-themed subject at such young age? The looks on some of those poor kids' faces were horrible.

I didn't say I didn't know it when I was young. I said Somali parents back home don't talk to their kids about such stuff and kids have to figure it out by themselves.

The cadaan parents' kids at that age already have girlfriends, and vise-versa, so the objective of telling these kids at that age about birds & bees is to educate them about what some of the consequences of having sex are, but the effect is quite the opposite.

I knew about sex at the age of 5-6 -7 can't remember anymore, It all happened when i found those tapes my brother hid in the room and inserted them in the VCR LOL shit was wild wallahi

Somaliwaste, for me it was my old brother's porn magazine stash.

A classmate brought a hustler magazine to school in grade 5...that's how I found about about everything. Some of the other kids were shocked, I was fascinated

Everything became clear when I attended my first sex ed class in grade 6. My world was shattered.
