The problem is we want to look defferent from Somalia but somalia is always trying to confuse the Somali public and the international community by using our national symbols anthems etc.

All the patriotic songs somalia Uses was composed by Somalilanders even their national anthem. the opening song of their radio is identical to hargeisa radio, hargeisa radio have been using that music long before radio muqdisho but they are doing it on purpose.

Somalia police emblem belongs to us, we have been using 40 years before 1960, somaliland camel corps was founded early 1900s. But somalia refused to stop using ou police emblem can you imagine ! walaweyns are driving us crazy walaahi.

I totally agree with you sxb, we need to distance ourselves from Faqash and Wanlaweyns as much as we can.

Let's change the name of our country to something else that does reflect Somali.

Even if we claim as the Horn africa republic, and we change our identity from somalilanders to horn africans. They will change bari region to 'horn afric' region.

Somalia claims to have invented the most common somali dish 'rice and meat'. Even though people in somalia were mainly grain eaters.
Also the most embaresing thing has to be the Somalia flag. Which was made in Hargeisa.
