It has nothing to do with hate. It's a matter of fact.Unless they put in place maintenance procedures the heavy gu rains will course serious damage. You must have seen for your self if you have ever been back

Waxaan maqlay laamidii Dilla ilaa Borama ee sanadkii hore la dhamayey durba way burburtay

As Xplaya said, it is a matter of engineering and I seriously doubt that Somaliland has sufficient expertise and funding to build hundreds of KMs of durable and good quality roads.

Clearing debris from this cheap roads might put extra cost on future developments especially when proper roads are to be build in the same area.

The RDA boss Prof. Xsan Cali Cismaan
and its Engineers team leader Eng. Cabdilaahi Sh. Cabdisalaan Sh. Cali Jawhar have been involved road constructions atleast the last 5 years. they first completed their awdal region road with limited machinery under ASARDA which is still in very good condition. Then the government handed them to lead the nations road Authority. They constructed kalabaydh wajaale road, wajaale is rainy place with clay soil and the road is used by trucks loaded with cement from ethiopia and other heavy materials from berbera yet the road is fine no problems. Based on the above experience Erigabo road is not their cup of tea they have the resources and better machiners , there is less trafick and less rains . They have Advanced soil sampling equipment . if the kacaan era roads are still standing with less maintenance after 40 years of gu and dayr rains why not these brand new ones ?

Theyususuf , I hope I am wrong and this Xirsi Gaab project works.
Laakiin Kacaan government didn't build anything directly. Chinese, Lebanese and Italian companies built Somalia roads.

As I said I really hope this thing works.
If this road is completed and turns out to be reasonably good quality road, it will have two effects. Firstly, it will have the effect of increasing trade between Sanaag region and the rest of Somaliland, leading to Sanaag using more at Berbera port which consequently increases revenues for the government. And secondly, it will divert Sanaag trade away from Bosaso port, decreasing the already dwindling revenues for our small but annoying neighbour, and that can not be bad

Samatar I am sure you are wrong indr if you did not see any vidoes or clears images showing the distruction of the finished roads. In fact dilla borama road was our first road project so its totaly not surprising if some areas were not well paved. How ever I havent seen any negative feedback from that road, please share if you have images. alxamdulilaah we have the maintenance machinery in our hands, there are also several Somaliland owned private companies who who have full capacity to build and maintain roads.

Are saying sanaag have more mountains than saaxil and more floods than togdheer ? as I already stated the RDA team are very well experienced, they will skip places that require bridges ! Most of the areas they are doing are banaan "saraari ma jidkii siraadaa" things are not complicated as you think.
